A lot of good things is happening around Rural Sports Foundation at the moment! Bikes has arrived to the Goal-project leaders and football gear is coming to us within the next week. This week 3 of our female peer-leaders together with the educational advisor was invited by FIFA to participate in a week-long training at OYDC, Lusaka, to become football coaches.
This is an initiative from FIFA together with streetfootball world, to boost the girls football in the country and RSF is selected as one of the clubs that will make sure that more girls will be involved in sports in the future!
From RSF it is Patricia and Jane from Petauke town and Elizabeth from Mumbi together with Alice from the directors end that is participating. This is promising times and the girls has been trained in how to prepare a session from warm-up, futher into practice various skills like passing, shooting, dribbling and then comming into a full game with tactics and all!
The last days was spent learning football3 because after this training they have two tasks – educate the next generation of girl footballers around Zambia and coming back to Lusaka in December to arrenge a BIG football3 tournament! Excieting!
Keep up the great work girls!
